Into the wild blue yonder....appropriate as we've been listening to the jet ranger helicopters going through their paces, flybys by other jets and dodging Navy ships in the channel...
We've been hanging out here for almost two weeks getting electronic upgrades, a new dinghy and other various outfitting stuff and we're ready to be movin' again.
We had to test our dinghy in the SD channel for a couple of sunset cruises to make sure it worked properly...but other than that it was a pretty boring couple of weeks. (If you've ever lived in your studio apartment while someone is remodeling it, then you'll know what we've been up to...) 
Today, we motored from San Diego to Oceanside, a 6.5 hour trip at our meager 6 knots. But it was sunny, hot, glassy with no swells! You could have water skiied out there! Once again, didn't see any whales or other things jumping from the water......
We arrived just as the sun was setting, headed out for some steamed clams and passed out for another long winter's nap...
Tomorrow, we head out for Catalina Island for a long weekend. It's a shorter trip, so we can sleep in!!! Yippee!!
